Abet Technologies has recently introduced a new line of photovoltaic (PV) IV test stations for solar cells from 3 mm to 300 mm.
Multi-zone vacuum chucks and 4 wire test methodology are standard on all models. Test stations are temperature control monitored and temperature control ready with the addition of a recirculating chiller.
The line of test stations is modular in nature. A customer begins by choosing an appropriate vacuum chuck for his needs. He then can add a probe bar and actuator option for bus bar contact. The number of probe bars to match the number of bus bars can be selected.
Probe bars are easily added or removed for to accommodate the number of bus bars on cells to be tested. For pad contact cells a micromanipulator option is available. These easily interchangeable options allow a customer whose test requirements change or those that need to test cells with different contact geometries the ultimate in flexibility. Top-bottom, top-top, and bottom-bottom contact geometries are accommodated
In addition to the test stations a variety of heating/cooling recirculators for temperature control offered as well as a micromanipulators and a large selection of kelvin probes to match cell pad sizes.
